ParticipantBeen to look at this fridge freezer with no cooling in fridge, I found that I only had 120v to the fan motor and it was only just turning. I have change both sensors and the pcb but I still only get 120v to the fan, can someone advise on a possible cause for this or a wiring diagram as I have spent money on this and want to resolve it. Many thanks. Andy

The fan only works with the doors closed.
You will need a magnet to check the voltage to the fan as the fan only works with the door closed.
With the fridge door closed open the freezer door on the right hand side near the middle basket you will see a small cover put a magnet to the cover to check the fan voltage.
On the APM 6855 the normal faults you get are defrost sensor or fan motor most other parts are reliable.
The fan sensor in the freezer can be by passed by joining the wires together if the sensor is faulty but you need it disconnected from the mains before doing this as it is permanently live.
The fan motors are expensive now but I can give you a connect universal fan motor part number if you need it as it will fit.
You also need to check you have not got it set on vacation mode.

Hi Bob
Thanks for the reply I have had a magnet on the freezer side to replicate the door shut and changed both sensors but still only get 120v to the fan motor connectors with the fan motor disconnected. I don’t know what to try next.

I would bypass the door sensor in the freezer.
The sensor for the top door is part of the display PCB but never gives a problem.
But check the magnet on the top door has not come off as it is only screwed on.
There is also a main power PCB at the back of the fridge freezer behind the condenser.
It will most likely be the door sensor in the freezer if you bypass it the fan will still run with the freezer door open but this will not cause any problems, it still cuts out when you open the fridge door.
