Can someone please help, I have had this for 2 years and typically the guarantee was only for 12 months, the freezer part is fine but the fridge thermostat is no longer working it is defaulting to ‘H’ which means +9 in the handbook and wo’nt allow me to set a temperature to refridgerate. I called MFI (where I purchased it) and they said I need an engineer to come out at a charge of £100 plus vat and parts. Is there anyone out there that has had this problem and knows how to fix it, without an engineer or can recommend an engineer that isn’t quite as expensive? Thanks.

    The booklet says:
The temperature can be set betwen +2 and +7 degrees. Actual temperature above +9 are signalled by the letter H.

It may be a control unit problem, this is an electronically controlled unit. Surprisingly the PCB is relatively cheap at around £20 should it prove faulty.

Check Repairs@ for an Independent engineer who should be able to help, this isn’t a DIY repairable unit to be honest.

    Hope this helps 🙂

Dave, thanks very much for your reply. Oddly after switching it off at the mains for 30 minutes it has kicked back into action (not sure how long for) but will use the Repairs@ when it starts messing about again. Thanks for your advice. 🙂
