No, not to insert handwriting capture to a document unless the functionality os built in.

There’s loads of apps that will let you do a simple signature or handwriting capture although for any iOS device (or capacitive screen) I’d suggest a “meat pen” like the Wacom one for it.
But, they’re generally a bit of a kludge and won’t actually do what the OP wants, insert the signature straight into a document as such without some faffing about being involved. As in, save as an image file then insert to the document after the event etc. or at least, I’ve not seen one that can do that, they are standalone apps meant for one purpose.

Softsign is pretty slick, you can get a video of it here….
But it only works with a PDF document from what I can see and more geared towards documents that you only want a signature on, not to do any more editing on, like say… adding what you did to the machine using that old keyboard type thingy.
But I’m open to new stuff or info if you have any.
I’d say that was more geared to getting agreements etc signed and back, not what we do.

Softsign allows you to fully insert any text into anywhere on the pdf and then resize, move ect.We have our job sheets as pdf and then compete in the customers house and then the customer signs and that also can be moved anywhere on the document and resized if needed. At your age ken resizing would be good.

recently we have been filling in job sheet with all details etc – get customer to sign – then take photo of job sheet , photo of serial and upload back to our own online database , great way to capture all the correct details and easy to do ..
i know this kinda defeats the paperless system is jobs sheet to phone via pdf etc , but its a good way to capture important data ..
you could also upload to photo bucket ,
so although this isnt a sign the screen system it is a way to get signature ?
the only issue i would have with calls coming down to phone is where to put them all and be able to view all so you can work out route etc ..

Or…
You could just get a Fujitsu scanner. 😉
TBH there’s (other than dedicated and expensive software) no real easy way to do what I think the OP actually wants.

It so happened that this evening I had to sign an NDA agreement for something that, if I told you about, I’d be forced to kill you or, someone would kill me. Or sue me to death.
It was sent in a PDF format.
So I thought, let’s give this Softsign thing a whirl and see what FFR’s on about…
The interface is a bit iffy but, I can forgive that.
What I couldn’t forgive was that it didn’t actually display the damned PDF properly and missed out fields, two of which were the signature and the date. Which, it will come as little surprise, are pretty much a requisite when it comes to any sort of legal document.
I’ll do it on good old fashioned paper and scan it in the morning. 😉
