KeymasterHave a look at the Samsung in the news iten at the bottom of the front page Bill, you’ll see why then. 😉
And if you go a few up you’ll also see machines made from perspex as well.
All very tasteful stuff. :conf: :colour:

Can’t remember if they carried the Ariston or Indesit (same difference) badge, but about 5 years or so back there were fridge freezers with pictures on the doors.
I remember there was a picture of strawberries and another of a New York skyline at night. There may have been other variations.
They were as popular as you can imagine :snigger:

And don’t forget the phase that Servis had in the late 90’s with producing washing machines in dark blue and green.
They really flew off the shelves….

Ariston branded aeronaut 😉 , my favourite was front view of a wild west steam train.Smeg still produce the retro FAB28 fridges in orange, lime and pink among other colours. For the patriotic customer a Union Jack version which covers the complete door. I`m still waiting for my first order on one of these 😉

Dont forget Smeg’s candy stripe!
I think although these products attract interest in the showroom, not so many people fancy them in their kitchen. Hence manufacturers dabble now and then, they dont sell too many of them and the spare parts implications must be enormous.February 1, 2007 at 10:27 pm #202801wsts

Bill Ellis :scot:How about the cannon harvest with the straw with a mouse on top of it.
Or if you fancy going a bit upmarket you could go for a La Cornue (if you have a spare £20k)

I used to find the picture fridges were slow movers but were great for attracting customers and once in the door you can try and sell them something else. We recently resprayed a fridge freezer Volkswagen Yellow for one of my more eccentric customers. I find white and stainless steel a little boring. Nothing like a bit of colour to brighten up the place, and you can’t call me White Van Man.. 😆
