ParticipantHi!
I think I’ve decided at last what new washing machine I’m going to buy (after spending many hours on this site) but is there any difference in the model numbers/codes of appliances?
Before you all shout “Doh!” by that I mean, I’m considering going for the Bosch WAE 32464 but some retailers quote the model number, as is, and others with UK at the end. Is there actually a difference between the models? I ask because one on-line retailer, Redhill Appliances, has a very good price (£410 including delivery), but a possible two week wait yet Co-op Electrical, for £15 more, can deliver by Wednesday yet they quote the number with ‘UK’ at the end. I don’t want some machine with modifications for the UK market i.e. lacking in some way.
By the way, this is the top of the Excel range, do you know if it’s made in Germany or Spain? If it’s made in Spain I may as well buy the top end of the Classix range.
Thanks ever so in advance.

Thanks ever so in advance. If you order a WAE32464 you will indeed recieve a WAE32464UK 😉 . As far as country of origin is concerned they could be German built or built under license in another country using Bosch tech and quality controls.

I was under the impression that only the Siemens badged appliances (in the Siemens group)were still built in Germany, with Bosch and Neff being built in China/Poland.

Thanks ever so you guys for your info.
Anyway, I’ve gone ahead and ordered the (probably Chinese) one from the Co-op but due to my eternal dithering (oh why is there so much choice and confusion these days?) I missed the time slot of Wednesday and it’s now being delivered Friday (I hope – fingers crossed!) so clashes with my hairdresser and I had to swap workdays but hey so what?
Once again, many thanks
