Any chance I get get help diagnosing a problem with my washing machine?

It WAS running for a short while as normal then just stopping mid cycle at a random point. When it stopped, the door stayed locked and none of the controls would respond, and none of the green lights above the option buttons would light up, (even if you turn the dial to select another wash). The orange ‘door locked’ light was on, but apart from that it was as if the machine was unplugged. It would stay like that until you turned the programme select dial to ‘off’ and waited for the door to unlock. When the orange light went out, you could then select a programme and use the options buttons like normal. The machine would then run for a short time as before, then stop.

NOW, after trying many times and then leaving it for a few days, the machine won’t let you select anything or start even after leaving it in the ‘off’ position for ages.

The machine drains and spins OK (if it gets that far) and the filter is clear.

Any chance it’s something I can find/fix myself?
