I purchased this machine from a customer who bought a refurbished bosch washer from me.She said it wasn’t draining, so i thought it wasn’t a bad deal for £30 being only 2 1/2yrs old and an 11kg load.
The pump was full, sweet wrappers, tissue, coins, hair grips etc.
The pump works ok and i have checked the heater also ok. when a cycle is selected,it will fill a lttle, check it can drain then fill and wash as norma, but if you won’t to stop it and select the spin cycle to get rid of the water it will do the same thing. It won’t drain and spin!
Also is the program selector dial supposed to feel like there’s no definition between each icon. This machine seems like a bag of s..t to me!
It is also showing signs of rest under the paint around the door lock, dispenser and the feet.Another quality product from Hotpoint!
If it’s gonna be another job for emw i think i will just break it up!

What with your WMD960 problems you really are learning the hard way. 🙁

Before you smash it do the pressure switch reset procedure that Jim posted higher up in this forum. It may not work, but it has many times for me. Change the pump for new as well. The selector can often be sorted by removing the board and flooding the selector switch with switch cleaner and turning it back and forth. Liquids like coffee and soap get spilt over the control panel and flow around the program knob and can adversely affect its function.
Anyway, “Aqualtis” is cockney rhyming slang for “pile of cr@p”……

    Steve.
