My Aquarius FDW60 has been playing up all day. First thing I noticed was that it hadn’t washed a load properly. On a restart, it appeared to go all right but when I came back to it, it had stopped halfway through a run with lights 4 and 6 flashing (not including the rinse aid) I got that reset and started it again, then it stopped halfway through with 3&4 flashing and now it will select a programme, but when I start it, nothing whatsoever happens for a few minutes until 3&4 start flashing again.

    Any ideas?

4 + 6 is a heater fault, very common on Indesit dishwashers, usually heating element or control PCB.

3+4 is a drain time out, possible blocked pump or related fault.

Any faults on the heater can throw up spurious error codes as well.

If it’s of any interest to the gallery, I seem to have fixed it. The circulation pump’s impeller was stuck. I think I dislodged something fiddling with the shaft trying to separate the impeller from the motor and it now spins. The washer seems to be working again. Which is almost a shame as I was on the verge of giving up and buying a Bosch
