aquarius leaking

Hello, once again I need your help, I have a Hotpoint aquarius wf 000p number 40154030. Occasionally we were getting a small puddle of water and could not find where it was coming from, we noticed a small amount of moisture running from the draw, however last night it leaked quite a bit this time not from the draw but from the bottom of the door, can these to be linked or do I need a new door seal. If so do you have price and availability. Also can it be a blocked filter as it is also stopping mid wash, this is usually fixed by pushing the on off button. We are not getting flashing lights for a fault though. Thanks in advance 🙂

Could be just the soap dispenser outlet pipe bunged up with soap? Remove drawer and check dispenser cavity and hose to the tub are clear and not clogged and overflowing?

Could that cause leaking from the door then? And the other problems? The draw is a Tad gunky am cleaning that at the moment. Thanks again Daniel.

Might help to turn the water pressure down a little as well if it is a bit high.

Okay, here’s what has happened, I’ve cleaned the draw jets, cleaned the pipe to the drum( the best I can as I couldn’t figure out how the plastic jewberlee clips opened without breaking them) I turned the water tap half closed and ran a normal wash. All was well until it hit rinse and spin( not final spin) then water started to come out of the draw again. We switched it off and manually pumped out. Is there a filter on this machine as there isn’t one at the front!!!!! 😛

Sounds like the sump hose is partially blocked, remove mains plug then take off the small, lower back panel, sump filter is inside the large black hose under the drum. Take care not to splash any water onto the electrics, a low bowl and a few towels will come in handy.

NB. That large hose may have a proper ‘jubille’ clip or one of the plastic, crocodile type clips, you just have to prise those apart by carefully twisting the joint, then squeeze back together with large pliers or mole grips to refit.

Okay, findings so far, you would appear to be bang on the money, partially blocked is an understatement! How the hell does a child’s sock, hair clips and a colour catcher amongst other things get that far down lol. Reassembling and testing next, I will let you know the outcome. 😀

Once again thank you to a fantastic site and team of experts, all tested, now have cleaner dryer clothes and the machine went all way through it’s cycle. It’s amazing how when things slowly go wrong you don’t notice, but with a little help to put things right a massive difference is made!!!!! This can be closed as I am confident it’s all sorted 😀 Many thanks once again 🙂
