We have an Aquarius WT540 washer.

The problem is that the machine does nothing when the start button is depressed.

When first switched on and program selected the lights all come on momentarily (always has) when they go off the appropriate program options are selected and the associated lights come on.

When the start button is pressed the program light such as spin or ‘E’ comes on as well as others but the door locked light does not come on although the door is securly locked.

Can anyone advise what the problem may be? The machine is 4-5 years old.

Could be worn motor brushes, failing that it is likely to be yet another Indesit PCB failure.
