ParticipantHi guys – my washing machine is playing up – just in time for crimbo.
basically it will not finish a cycle and we get lights 2 & 4 (reduced crease & mini load ) + on/off flashing.
if i turn power off then on i can select a spin and it will finish – but looks to be lots of water being spun out.
suggestions on fix welcomed.
cheers

Its possible you have a blockage.
The first place to look, after you have removed the mains plug is inside the large black sump hose located behind the small, lower back panel.
Have a few towels handy and make sure you keep the water of the components.

Ah, its the dreaded sealed drum model. What you actually have is a WT540/1, the full model number makes all the difference. 😉
Worth making sure you don’t have some frozen pipework as well.

Okay – found the blockage its at the end of the black pipe and into the pump housing – a lovely selection of coins – 3 £1 – 5 2p’s 4 pennies and 3 10p pieces combined with a golf ball size of fluff/material – half of which was wrapped and the bit that unscrews from the front of the m/c
i will need to source a new part as it was in tight and the thread was difficault to unscrew it broke.
cheers for the help

Participantfilter isnt listed as a seperate part for that (which would explain why u cant find it)
pump complete however is c00145315
there is a part number for a generic filter kit, with 4 or 5 filters in there, but is as expensive as a new pump
http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Washing+ … +Pump.html
is what you require
and by the way, it wouldnt have broke if youd taken the pump off, and removed the pump back.. thats the easieast (and, aparantly , cheapest) way to do it!
good luck
