Hi there my dad has one of these machines but has lost the manual,please can anybody tell him how to remove the condenser filter out to clean it without flooding the floor every time

There is always half a pint of water at least left in the bottom of the machine, so leakeage is inevitable. Towel or low tray is about all you can do.
