got an arctis 2792-4

if i plug it in and turn on the fast freeze button it will run
if i set the thermostat it will run

the problem i have though is that the display shows actual temperature of say 20 deg which is acurate but when i come to set the intended temperature i can only set it to between plus 16 and 0 degrees which is obviously way out of range
any ideas?
dont wanna buy a board as connect lists them as over 200 quid

come on someone must have some idea
i set it to 0 degrees on friday and it is running perfectly at that temperature just wont allow to be set below that
is there some kind of config to do?
do i have to hit it with a stick
