ParticipantIt took about 2 months … All the buttons on the front are now capacitance touch
I’ve only done errors for fill time and door open
couldn’t sort out the speed control so bought from Russia a speed control board based around tda1085c chip
which most machines used in the 80’s
it was harder than I thought
I will post a full video soon

Participantapart from alerting users on errors, i really dont see any need for wifi , just another sales gimmick the manufacturers are using to polish the proverbial t__d
if customers haven’t already realized they purchased a pile of poo — they now will be reminded via the app , just another conversation topic when dinning out im sure their friends will love it
– im guessing there will be some good to come out if wifi appliances — like a robot bringing me beer etc but until such times , im not buying it

KeymasterBet your board last longer than the rest of it. 😉
I take it you did all that just to see if it could be done?

ParticipantYes it was just a bit of fun…
the problem is I now have a machine in the shed ….which I can’t bring myself to scrap
as it took a lot of hours to buildNovember 1, 2018 at 5:26 pm #458514hotpointer
ParticipantI also had another project which converted
all cold fill.washing machines back to hot and cold ….it works really wellNovember 1, 2018 at 7:58 pm #458515iadom
ModeratorHowever, modern biological detergents work properly when used with a cold fill. If you use them with hot water only for the wash cycle then the enzymes are killed off before they can do their work. 😉
