i am seeking some helpful advice.
i was wondering if magnetrons can be interchanged from make to make, or has it got to be specific?

ie if it is the same physical shape, and same wattage, will it fit and work alright.

the reason i ask is because a sharp magnetron is £110 and a qualtex which is the same physical shape is only £25.

some more info would be much appreciated.

hi thanks for that. do you know where i can get a cross reference?

i would of thought that they would fit, if the bolts and terminals are sited in the same place.

if i knew of a cross reference chart it would help.
i see qualtex have magnetrons, but theres little info about it.

    mine is a 750w x2 = 1500w
and wondered what would happen if i put a universal 850w in place of it.
i just thought id ask if someone has done this before, cos all the microwaves ive had in the past, customer has decided to renew complete appliance.

the ones i have to fix now though, cos at least £550 each. cos there commercials. (i know a rip off) but if i can avoid paying £110 from sharp for each magnetron, the customer will have it done and i will get the job.

    thanks for reply
