Participantjust wondering as ive just been out to a wma40p where the door locks taken out the board, and I have a fair few used wma boards from bearing failure machines but no wma40p ones in stock. which others (if any) can I use?
customer isnt too bothered about losing the spin or temp control if it means the machine doesnt have to be replaced for a year as they are in the process of planning a new ext/kitchen
wma40 was the 1000 spin with the variable temp and spin dials. would any of the 1100 or 1200 spin wmas work with it (this is presuming speed control is regulated by the pcb and not motor-specific)

The same pcb fits,
WMA34,5,6,7.
WMA42,4,6,8.
WMA52,4,6,7,8.
WMM39,53,59.
WMS38,39.I have never tried to fit modules from the other WMA variants myself though, I’m guessing that the microprocessor will be different so may not program correctly?

right, got a wms38 pcb in the box. the fascia says its a 1200 model, does that mean the rpm is regulated by having a different motor to the wma40 (as i seem to recall the pulleys are all the same diameter) or would the wms38 module need re-coding to become a wma40? cheers in advance jim!

The one from a WMS38 will fit, just needs programming for a WMA40. Never really bothered to find out what the differences are as always fitted the correct one then programmed it to the model it was fitted into. Never had a shop or uplifted machines so didn’t build up a stock of used modules either.
As far as I know you cannot re code the different pcb’s to fit any WMA, only program them for the various models they are designed to fit.
Do you have the programming list for the 1604321 pcb, can send it you if you don’t.
