    We have seen a big slowdown this last two weeks both in road work as well as shop sales, reps reported it’s not that busy either. How are you all fairing or is it a regional thing, January customers have their Christmas bills in plus maybe thinking of holidays but it seems unusually quiet ? 😕

    Really busy down ere in cream tea country 😀

    Now booking next Tuesday for calls and Wed next week for deliveries outside the city. deliveries in the city just got a couple of slots left for Thursday.

    Not had the same footfall in the shop this January compared to previous years but the spend per customer has more than made up for it 😉

    Oh and the phones haven’t stopped ringing either.

    Always quiet for me in January so I take two weeks off and go somewhere warm.

    Not too bad here in the sunny North West. Booked up 2 days in advance at the mo but its not as busy this week as it has been for the rest of January. Last week before payday and the January credit cards bills are looming large I think.

    Grooster I think that all plays a part, sooner they increase prices of appliances the better

    I finally got out of the trade before xmas. Was fed up with price of parts, new machines etc
    Was very busy but not making enough money, now doing a job I really enjoy, good money and plenty of holidays etc
    ( will still keep my hand in on occasions though

    Working for network rail as a signal and telecoms technician
    Did the same job nearly 30 years ago.

    Thankfully the volume of work hasn’t dropped and getting more high value repairs.

    I take it all back after what I said last week, its gone quiet here now. Just enough to fill a day but noticeably quieter this week.
