Done okay in Jan about same as last year, first 3 days of Feb mental dont miss indesit one bit.

Very hit and miss these days…so much so when customers ask i just say im semi retired and dont play golf either… its not gr

You only have to look at the posts on this site. A few years ago there we’re a lot more posts and pages of messages flew by. I suspect that many like me are just holding in until retirement. Would any of you recommend this job to a school leaver as a job with a future a job with prospects or a job that give a good living?

l think the key issues here are that we have to diversify our business as we can no longer rely on Domestic Appliance Service anymore , but the sixty four dollar question is ‘what do we diversify in’ Most High Streets are in demise and the internet is telling everybody how to repair their appliances etc also the likes of Connect and ESpares and others who will deal with anybody and his horse .With reference to ‘timdowning’ remarks there does seem to be a lot more effort to get very little !!

Its gone dead again here in the sunny North West! Its so erratic at the moment, I was good and busy last week and this week has just died. Even the rental work is quiet!!

People are probably a bit nervous about spending money ATM what with Brexit, inflation increasing and wages not. Atop that you’ve got Easter soon and the bills landing for holidays.
So it always seems to slack off this time of year, just look back you’ll see the same conversation about the same time year in, year out.
Have you tried analysing missed calls in your area on the rear search?

Yes I know, I always count March as my quietest month but just not as quiet as this. April can be hot and miss with Easter. To be fair it is up and down, day today but looking in the diary for the last two years there is definitely a drop.
It’s picked up again today but could die again tomorrow. Let’s hope Aprils a better one.Re: Are you busy?

I have been burning the candle at both ends to keep up with demand. It did go quiet for a short time but i was able to concentrate on refurbishing a few second hand appliances. Which cleared the decks in my workshop. i dont just do domestic appliances but also do small kitchen equipment and commercial appliances as well which helps.
