ariston a1324 no heat?

we have a problem with an Ariston washer model:A1324
it will fill,rinse & spin all ok.
when put onto a wash cycle it fills, tumbles heater relay clicks…heater comes on for a few seconds, relay clicks heater goes off..repeats this twice then goes into fault mode.
heater meggers ok obviously supply to heater is ok.
anyone come across this before & what the solution is?
I thought maybe temp sensor but thought I`d see if anyone out there has had this before..
stangely the flashes indicate f2 tacho fault/motor jammed but obviously not as works fine through a rinse & spin

Heater relay on boards are prone to failure.
