    I’ve got an Ariston A1635 Margerita washing machine.

    The dial is clicking round and stopping at 1 BUT there are no flashes (i know these indicate an error code).

    Any advice would be great as it is a bit close to Christmas to be buying a new machine 🙁

    sound like it trying to run programme 1

    turn knob to one of the dots (where programmes finish ) this will reset programme and allow you to try another one. its a child friendly feature so the programme cant be altered by busy fingers once started

    first thing I would try is the motor brushes

    Have now re-set the programme successfully.
    Now when I turn it on the lights are on but nothing is happening.
    Any ideas?

    brushes is still the first place to try
