The belt recently went on my machine. I fitted a new one only for it to break on the first wash cycle. Obviously something is causing the belt to brake (it snaps). Any ideas what the problem may be ?

Or something is jamming the drum. Have a look at the break, does it look friction burnt? If so it is probably something between the drum and tank e.g a rolled up “sausaged” sock. If so check the distance between the drum lip and the door seal for an excessive gap + revolve the drum and check it does not go round warped- had one last month! If something jamming drum as suggested best to struggle and remove offending sock via the element, Power off please!!!! but check around door seal area first as refitting element a right `barsteward`to refit. If large door seal/drum gap you`ll need a new door seal.
