Ariston A1655UK – help!!

Hi all,

Have searced the excellent forums here, and have tried to corrct my machines fault by cleaning out the pump (which has cured this same problem previously) and the machine is now running the hottest wash cycle it can to see of that sorts it out. I will update on this when it finishes.

The problem is this: last night, it filled up, and started its wassh program, bit it just did not move on at all on the prgram selector. It just kept doing the first bit continuously.

If I stop it and move it on, the prgram selector just clicks round and round and the machine does nothing……..

Any help (other than “bin it” 😀 ) appreciated.

Been going nearly an hour now, on a cycle that takes 135mins in the manual, and it appears to have done the same thing.

Seemed to do first part of pgrogramme ok, ie filled started, stopped to heat water, and continued, but now it is jst forwards, stop. backwards, stop and so on.

Has not moved on to number “2” on the dial, (the rpgramme was “1”)

I think it is definitley fubar!!!

Has it heated the water? Turning the dial whilst the machine is running will always result in rthe timer running round. If you need to interupt it, power off, select black dot, power on, wait for flicker from lamp, power off, reselect and power on.

If you set rinses or spin only, does it complete the cycle?
