I have a 2 year old A6136.
Recently it has decided to be awkward about starting a wash. The door doesn’t seem to lock when closed and the red light just flashes on and off.
The problem is intermittent but seems to be getting worse. I haven’t been inside the machine (yet!) but an external examination shows there seems to be a fair amount of play on the door hinge ( the hinge itself seems strong enough but both the door and the body it is hinged to appear to be remarkably flimsy).
I have managed to get it started eventually by adjusting (ie. twisting) the door alignment but I don’t want to keep doing this as I suspect the door will fall off !
Is it simply an alignment issue which is preventing the interlocking mechanism from working ? If so is there an easy fix ?
