Ariston AFA 250 two flashing lights

My AFA 250 has stopped working and isn’t emptying. The two left hand green neons are flashing (pre-wash and wash). Anyone help please?

If you mean neons 1+2 from the left then you have a drain time out error, machine is not emptying correctly. blocked or jammed pump is the likeliest cause, small pieces of glass, bone, wood, plastic, even sweetcorn can stop the pump.

Thanks. I’ve got the back and botton plates off but I can’t see how to remove the pump to get to the inlet side of it?

Follow the grey plastic outlet pipe into the machine, this is attached to the drain pump. The pump is secured by a single screw then it is a twist off release.

Thanks, I think I was looking for something more complex. I’ve taken it off and cleaned it, it was a bit mucky but nothing that would obviously stop it pumping.

All back together and now it has blown the main house trip twice and won’t complete a full wash. Sometimes it doesn’t finish the first cycle and goes back to the first two neons flashing. Now it has got to the point where the heater has obviously been working but has now stopped with the second neon flasing on it’s own. A couple of restarts has got back to this position.

Any ideas? I’m not one to just bin things but it’s never been the best washer (sometimes leaves deposits on everything) and I am strting to wonder if this one is economically repairable.

Sounds like you have splashed water into the works, 😥 Neon 2 flashing is supposed to indicate a fill valve fault.

Might be better to ‘get someone in’ although TBH the Indesit, Ariston and now Hotpoint dishwashers are far from the best. :rolls:
