Participantmy dishwasher has stopped working can any one help?? The symptoms are the second and fourth lights flash after about 1 minute. It is draining the water ok and i can hear a pump noise but no actual water is going in to the washing compartment however when we start it again more water is pumped out , so some must be coming in. The appliance is 14 months old please let us know if you can help.

It’s a heating error which shouldn’t prove to be a costly repair hopefully.
Check the repairs@ link below for an engineer 🙂
If you do decide to dig deeper, power off first :zap:

Thanks Dave for your prompt reply. My partner is an engineer and we feel that with the parts and assistance from this forum we stand a good chance of sorting this out. Can you or anyone else recommend a good source to get the parts we need and what are the parts we need !! also are there any confirmatrion checks that can be carried out to establish this. Thanks in advance Mo

You need electrical test equipment and the knowledge to use it safely. spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will be able to supply any spares required promptly at a competetive price.
Power off when checking please.

Cheers penquin 45 Partner is an avionics technition test equipment and working with electrical equipment is not a problem for him. He just does not have any experience with dish washers !!
Quite happy to talk technical, can we confirm the heater element is U/S
prior to purchase……..do they go open circuit. Guessing it could be the control module at fault ? any quick tests or is normally a case of bingo servicing. thanks in advance mo.February 12, 2006 at 1:07 am #164038Penguin45

Heater is a resistance circuit Moski 😀 . These ones are temperamental to say the least. Power off and split circuit before testing……
