My Ariston AFA250 has been washing perfectly but has recently developed the following fault which has cleared itself several times after waiting a while………until now that is !

Basically when I turn the machine on, the extreme right hand Green LED(when looking from front) nearest to the rotary selector keeps flashing at a constant rate & won’t extinguish when the selector is rotated or power turned off/on again, this therefore doesn’t allow the machine to start a new cycle !!!!!! On the plus side this has resulted in me having lovely soft ‘fairy liquid’ hands for the past week or so :rolls: !!!!!!

Unfortunately I bought the house several years ago with this unit already installed & have no handbook for it so any help would be most appreciated.

    Many Thanks,

    Re: Ariston AFA250 problem !

Were the flashing lamp to come on during a cycle, it would suggest a no-heat problem. It could be re-set to allow a programme to be started. As the lamp is flashing permanently and cannot be re-set, it is more likely that there is a problem with the computer board.

However, to be certain, you would need to check all other components for value and continuity back to the PCB. Assuming that everything is connected and working, the PCB is all that’s left.

Needless to say, this procedure should be performed with the power off.
