ParticipantI’ve had three electrical appliances die on me in quick succesion – the kettle and the cordless phone needed replacing – but I don’t wantb to give up on the washing machine. It’s still under warranty, if only my other half could find it. In the meantime it’s refusing to finish wash cycles and flashing up F05. Any info on what this means and where I can get the part and/or expertise to fix it would be gratefuly received.

F05 is related to a fill level problem.
All you can check yourself is the filter for blockages etc, other than that, checking anything internally may invalidate the guarantee.
If you’ve lost the reciept, the retailer should be able to provide a duplicate for you 😉
Hope that helps 😀

help!
I have the same problem with this model.
It is displaying the fault F-05.
I have released excess water from the pump.
Is there anything else i can do to rectify this problem?
I have had this machine for over 2 years.
Is it worth fixing or should i purchase a new washing machine?August 15, 2005 at 12:20 am #140342Penguin45

The fault code suggests a problem with the water level control system. This is usually a failure of the pressure switch, although this can also be caused by a blockage in the associated pipework.
A replacement switch is actually quite cheap (c.£12 from memory), however, if you are unable to confirm the diagnosis, pro help may be your best option. If you can’t find the paperwork check repairs@ or Directories for a UKW repairer in your area.

KeymasterCould you give me a rough idea where the pressure switch is located?
Is it a round white object?August 17, 2005 at 8:41 pm #140344Penguin45

It certainly is, with a skinny hose coming off the bottom. If you blow through the hose, there should be no resistance. If you (gently) blow into the switch you should hear it go “click”. If it doesn’t, there’s the problem.
Power off, of course. :plug:

Keymasteri blew into the hose and there is a lot of water bubbling through the drum. I recently emptied the water from the lower end of pump.
Does this sound like a pump fault? -
