Ariston ALD12S UK drive belt query

Dear All

the main drive belt has come off my machine a couple of times recently during use and I have put it back on. I assumed the belt had stretched as the machine is 5 years old. I looked up the correct belt (1046 H8) and ordered one from a parts website. When the belt arrived it was a 1051 H8. I queried why they had sent a longer belt with the supplier.
They told me – the belt has been increased form 1046mm to 1051mm as they were found to be too tight putting on.
The belt is correct and I am sure if you attempt to fit, it will fit fine.

I am concerned if this is correct information or not as I don’t want to waste my time fitting it if it is no tighter than the one I am replacing

Can anyone advise if this is the correct belt or not ??
