Ariston AS100 – detergent dispenser problem

Hi. For the last couple of months the flap on the detergent dispenser of our Ariston AS100 hasn’t been opening during the wash cycle. It means the tablets (used without problems for the last 3 or so years) don’t dissolve, or only partially dissolve.

We’ve tried different tablets (2 in 1 instead of 3 in 1), topping up the rinse aid and salt, giving the filters a really good clean and more. We tried a light/ rapid cycle with not much crockery and the tablet pretty much completely dissolved, although the detergent dispenser door stayed shut, but when we reverted to the normal cycle the problem returned.

Any advice on how to solve this would be much appreciated.

Dispenser solenoid failure is quite a common fault. Repair is a complete assembly, p/no C00064697 in this instance. Email with part number to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for pricing and ordering.
