ParticipantHi, wonder if someone can help re this washer.
Its about 2 year old, slim line model (we did have an earlier model (AS100), that failed due to power problems and this was supplied on warranty!)
Anyway, 2nd led (of the 4) has started flashing, I presume it isn’t completing its cycle.
It appears to be draining okay, and when we open the door, lots of steam appears which again appears normal.
Any ideas? Plates do appear clean.
We are using the standard wash cycle – unfotunately, all of the wash cycle codes have rubbed off making it fun to select any different programs.
We are in a hard water area if this helps????
CheersTony

Probably temperature sensor failure – temperature rise not detected in time allowed, program aborts. Can be dodgy wiring, can be board fault. Awkward one to diagnose, especially awkward machine to work on. Probably engineer time in all honesty.
Power off if investigating, or click the link below for pro help.

Thanks for the advice Penguin 45.
Any ideas how much this would cost, ie part(s) plus time.
I’ve read somewhere that these have 5 year warranty? Does this mean I just pay for engineer call out fee (£90) and parts are inclusive?
Presume its something I can’t fix myself?
Seem to be troublesome the Aristons, at least for us anyway!!

Several variables here on this one, difficult to know. Labour charges from and independent engineer (see link below) are around half that of Ariston though 🙂

I hope that you read it on the paperwork you got with the appliance then?

Yes that’s the way it works if you have that all important 5year Warranty!

Probably not, best leave it to us experts eh 😉

Hi, quick update.
Looked at the machine again, and it is actually completing its cycle… strange.
At end of Cycle it flashes the 2nd led.
Phoned Ariston, yup £89 fixed labour fee but then chargable parts, won’t be considering that option. Thanks for you help guys, if it gets worse will use the Repairs@…
