Yes the clicking dial problem again – sorry but I have searched the forum for the solution to my problem non seem to specifically fit.

Last week had a pump blockage – half a pencil and couple of coins; drained machine cleared pump and all seemed well

Today blockage – guess what the other half of the pencil

Now the machine still won’t drain control dial clicks around when required to do so.

Removed the pump and checked again rubber hose from bottom of drum to pump is clear as is the outlet hose from the pump – some water does seem to get pumped out when trying a short wash cycle – but still not full draining.

Pump impeller turns as normal and as described in other posts as being normal – nothing wrapped around the spindle.

Need to check the pump motor resistance (but it’s now 02:40 in the morning and I’m in the same condition as the machine – knackered)

I believe it should be around 146 ohms?

Any help appreciated.

If as you say the pump does revolve normally then it can only be an obstruction somewhere.

Does the pump impellor have a lot of side to side movement?

Is your outlet pipe plumbed directly into the sink waste?

A good idea is to detach it and try it over the sink. It is also possible for small objects such as 5p coins or buttons to act like a valve, letting some water past then turning slightly to block off the flow. These are usually found in the ‘outlet’ side of the drain system.

Many thanks – detached the drain hose at the junction to the sink waste.

Blocked at that end with a bit plastic and a glob of fluff – looks more like dead mouse actually.

Machine is merrily spinning away as I type – thanks again ……
