Ariston built in oven

Hi All, I am in France visiting family and have a problem with an Ariston built in single oven.
Its a FB 970 and its flashing Err 08, all I can find is possible potentiometer connections from google search and translation, it flashes until power reset then works for a period before flashing error again, very limited tools available to me but I do have a basic multimetetAny help very welcome Kind Regards

Got to admire a man who takes a multimeter and a emergency tool kit in case of any white goods breakdowns on holiday.

Talked my daughter into buying multi meter so I can teach her the basics and got her to invest in a sds drill just need her to get Miele now, thanks for the help cable tested ok but cleaned connections both ends and switch cleaner thru switch tested 1.5 hrs plus all ok at present. Cheers
