    Hi Guys,

I have been working on this ariston built in washer dryer for a while now. Initially the machine will locked the door and did nothing else so I changed the timer and all well and good until the customer phoned me up again today and complaining about the same thing.
    Could something blow the timer?

    Any Ideas?

    hi Simon,

They actually do not use the dryer and it still happens. It just locks the door and does nothing. The dryer is at off position. By putting new timer in, it worked ok for one week and then the same thing.the timer is not cheap on these. So I am not sure what to do!

    Regards

This is a classic ‘no motor detected’ fault. Machine locks door and then dead. Have a look at the carbons – when they go low this will give the fault. Chgeck the motor plug for loose wires and tighten all edge connectors on the main module. Otherwise you may have to replace the motor. Changing the timer would not affect this – it must have been pure cahnce that it worked again ! If you get really stuck, you can always send the board to us for tset (£5+vat). Tony EMW 0115 9652118
