Working ok before earth fault tripped RCD @consumer unit. Found low insulation resistance reading on Heater-element. Replaced element. Now the pumps running(?) – but no water enters machine – nothing else seams to happen. Program light buttons flash. Door can be opened at any-time.

This would be a big help to us. 😉
    essential

Which buttons, numbered from the left are flashing? As there is no interlock on most dishwashers the door can always be opened at any time.

    Hi iadom,

the button that is flashing is the second from the left hand side of the machine. There are four (4) buttons in all on the left. I started the wash cycle by de-pressing the first button on the left (symbol with a pot with under lines). The door is closed. It sounds like a pump is running. After a while nothing else seams to be happening. On re-opening the door the button with a pot like symbol is flashing.

Sounds like usual water in base activating the anti flood unit.

That’s a no fill error, the pump running noise may well be the fill valve humming. Have you checked the water supply is OK ?

Apart from that, I’d go with Greg and check the base for water (flood protection activated) with the power off of course 😉

    Hi Dave & Greg,

    Thanks for the information.

I’m sure the water supply is OK.

There is a dry residue lying on the inside bottom of the machine.
So it looks like a leak I’m looking for!

Where would the device for the “flood protection activated” be located and what would it look like.

Another thought, where I could get a wiring diagram/manual.

    Many thanks

You would see quite a lot of water in the base if the ‘polystyrene float’ had been activated.

    Re: Ariston Dishwasher

    Hi again,

I checked out the water pressure to the machine and “Float Switch” and both check out OK. No sign of water leaking in the machine.

I put water into the machine and started it running. A pump starts.
I opened the door and found the water I put in has gone.

After a while, there is the sound of water running.

About 1 1/2 minutes after starting the machine, a pump starts again and the same light that is second from the left starts flashing.
This sound of pump and water runs last about thirty seconds and then all gose quiet.

If I might just say at this point gents….?

The error fault (2nd light from left flashing) means there is a HEATING fault if I’m not mistaken? 😉

Now as the original fault WAS the heating element and that has been replaced, I would think the BIT100 control board has given up the ghost as a result??
