ParticipantGood evening to you all,
We have an Ariston LL63 dishwasher (bought in Spain in July 2005)
About one in ten of the wash cycles ends with two of the program lights flashing ( R/fast cycle and delicate items)
The contents of the machine appear to be washed OK and the next time the machine runs, everything works fine.
The machine and its filters are clean.
Any ideas on what the machine thinks is wrong?
I have looked everywhere online for the fault code info.
Thanks for your help, regards, Tony

Almost certainly an Indesit based machine, Tony. Left to right, 1 to 4, which ones are flashing?

Hi Penguin45, thanks for responding so quickly.
The cycle lights flashing are the 4th and 6th from the left.

That’s the filters blocked error. Obviously check all filters; check rotors for blockages, have a good look in the sump under the filters. Additionally, check where the drain pipe couples on under the sink (if applicable) and ensure that it is not nipped or trapped at any point.

Thanks Penguin45 for that.
The filters are fine and I have already cleaned out a few bits from the rotors.
I think the problem may be the drain pipe at the back (partly blocked or kinked maybe), its plumbed directly rather than to the sink waste.
Thank goodness the fault appears to be a maintenance issue rather than a mechanical problem.
A great forum, thank you.

ParticipantI think I owe you guys a barrow-ful of Euros.
I had exactly the same problem with my French-bought Ariston and thought it was probably cheaper to buy a new machine rather than spend the same money on repairs which might not extend the life of the machine by much. That was until I saw how much they are in France now – as much and sometimes more than a washing mchine, which I always thought was much more complicated.
However, having seen this forum and the post which matches my error to a tee, I decided to take off as much as I could (from the dishwasher!) to see what I could find. I did find a single grain of maize/corn which I didn’t think could cause a problem but, having put evverything back together again, the machine is working fine now!!!
