Why do you think it is over heating? Water level is normally below the heater it relies on the circ pump to circulate the water.

This is my first attempt at Forums so please bear with me. I’m an old duffer!
Model No. LST660UK-A2080
It sounds like I have water circulation failure. The element is still energised so without circulation it is like a potters kiln. The dishes came out cooked and tray fittings melted.
I have cleaned nozzles and filters. Seemed to work at the beginning of the cycle then packed up after say 30secs.June 15, 2005 at 12:44 pm #138426Martin

Most likely the main circulation motor has stopped (seized thru old age or duff capacitor??) Could be costly this one to fix??

Thanks for pointers. Checked valves etc. Pump motor seized but not burnt out. Problem is with the shaft waterseal. Pretty screw up. Faulty manufacturing?
