The grill on my Ariston cooker is not working (Both settings – Grill only and grill with fan).
It is a combined elelment for both the oven and grill (Oven works ok). Instructions state that when using the grill, only the inner element heats up.

I have tested the elements and am getting a resistance of around 24ohms and 25ohms. I know it works for the oven so presuming there is no problem there.

There is what looks like an exhaust cut-out at the top of the oven which is open circuit (Type 261 T175k ELTH). Could this be the problem? If not I am presuming a fault with the main switch.

    Any ideas?

Looks like I can order the switch through the shop although I am still unsure which cut-out to buy? Anybody offer any assistance?

I think if you look closely, that stat says TI 75. It is the cooling fan cut-in switch, so should be normally open. There should be a second one on the back of the casing, this is the safety cut-out and should be normally closed. If it’s open circuit, you need to order p/no C00081600.

    Stay safe, power off.
