ParticipantWe have just moved into a house that has an Ariston FM87C built-in oven/hob.
However, there is no manual and the markings around the controls are worn off so we have very little idea what the controls actually do.
Does anyone know where I can get a manual for this (online preferably), or does anyone have one they could scan the page in for me please which shows the dials and what they do?
Thanks

There was a link posted in “Lost Your Instruction Manual”, but it is no longer functional. This:
https://www.hotpointservice.co.uk/Service/inst.html
looks like as near as we’re going to get.
Your appliance is not specifically listed, but there is an order form option.

ParticipantHi Keith,
I’ve got one of those POS ovens as well. You can have my manual if I fail to find out how to remove the door so that I can stick both the inside and outside pieces of glass back on! 🙁
The wife is itching to replace it.
Second thoughts, I’d save yourself a whole bunch of stress and worry and go and buy another oven right now. Seriously I’ve lost count of the times I’ve stuggled to even get a good roast dinner out of it – and as for trying to cook a cassarole or anything that requires it producing something resembling heat, forget it!
Basic operations though are two clicks (of the 1st knob on the left) to the left for the double grill and two clicks to the right for ‘normal’ oven. Oh – and the clockwork timer needs to be on for the grill to work. I suppose you’ve found that out already though :D.
Drop me a PM and I’ll at least scan the document for you and PDF-it.
Regards,
Jeremy (FM87C hater) Pridmore

The Hotpoint/Creda link is fine, its the Indesit one that stopped working some time ago, used to be a separate link to individual machine PDF file.

If you can’t find it listed Tom, likely as not it hasn’t been put into a pdf. file. Therefore it’s best to give the Hotpoint/Indesit help-line a ring and ask if they have a hard copy of it in stock? 😉
