Ariston Fridge/Freezer

Hi all,

I have a problem with my Ariston Fridge Freezer that I’m hoping you can explain:

The freezer section is fine, but the temperature of the fridge does not get below 5oC. There is a build up of ice at the back of the fridge, at the top but below the fan.

I constantly scrap off this ice.

There is also a continuous buzzing noise, which I think is just something vibrating against something, but must be internal.

Any ideas would be appreciated, and the average cost of a call out in london?

A 24 or 48 hour total defrost may be the first thing to consider?

Sounds like the defrost heater inside the frige is not working, drain channel blocked etc etc.

Defrost first then report back if you are still having problems 🙂

I did try a defrost, although it was mainly scraping off all the ice!

I will do a 24-48 hours one and let you know; and will give you the model number!
