Participantlooking for a replacement grill element for an Ariston DOV317 , MODEL 015858, serial no 90811158.
Bought one online (HY 14103) but is slightly longer and wider and the support bars are going the opposite direction.
Does anyone know if this element is suitable and if so how is it supported ?

Had problems with parts for this model several times in the past. Although they have the same model number there are two versions of this machine, one made by Stoves the other by New World.
To identify yours you need to look at the oven door seals.
On the New World model the oven door seals are quite thin and go all the way round the opening, the ends of the seal are glued together.
On the Stoves model the seals are thicker and along the top of both seals the is a metal vent about 3 inches long in the centre. Also these models have a Stoves model number on the rating plate, usually beginning with 2 and nine digits long.
It appears as though the replacement grill elements may fit both models as it comes with a support kit. The bad news is that it is around £100. :eeek:
Part number is C00S11655. It is very unusual to have any letters after the C00 in Indesit parts numbers which suggests this is a Stoves part, Stoves parts are seriously overpriced IMHO. There does not appear to be a pattern alternative that I can find, unless someone else knows of one. 😥
Can you find any other numbers on the appliance?
PS. The one you have purchased is for Whirlpool/Hygena ovens. 😉

A bit more digging, if yours is a New World made cooker then the grill element is a C00156689, list price is around £60.00, again I cannot see a pattern alternative to that one.

That element appears to be obsolete now Jim with no alternative listed.
