Ariston LI 680 DUO Drainage Problem

Can somebody give me instructions on how to check the drainage pump/impeller on the LI 680 DUO model? My dishwasher will not drain. Checked the filters and hose pipes etc and all are fine. I want to check the drain pump & motor to see if they are clogged up somehow. Can I get advise on the steps to do this?

Its a bog standard Indesit machine, very prone to pump blockages.

Remove the mains plug, place towels on floor, tip machine onto back or left hand side ( looking from front). Remove baseplate taking note of the position of the wires to the float switch before you pull them off. Follow the grey plastic hose into the machine to locate the drain pump. One small screw then twist and its off.

Take care to prevent any water dripping onto electrics and make sure the small black rubber O ring is in place when you refit.
