Ariston LI62UK dispenser fault

Hi,
Can anyone suggest a fault finding technique for the following issues please.
The dispenser door has stopped opening but the machine sometimes indicates fault No4, time out heating? (I’m adding tablets to the cutlery basket), reset the programmer and all’s fine but I can’t seem to activate the engineer test modes to test individual items. Testing the solenoid shows voltage all the time the machines running rather than giving just a door open signal is this normal or could it be a programmer fault? the solenoid and door assembly all move free so I assume the coils had it. I don’t want to replace the programmer unnecessarily but also don’t want to replace just the dispenser if the programmer is the root cause of the solenoid failure. The machine fills & empties well & gets hot ok faults out after about 2hrs at which point the machine is hot, empty and looks to have finished it’s cycle
