ParticipantMy Ariston LS1 61 stopped mid cycle last night and when we went to restart it this morning it trips the breaker on the main circuit board each time we press the power on button. Any ideas please?
regards Tim

Hi
Unplug appliance and look in the base below the main wash tank for water which has probably swamped the re-circulation motor causing earth leakage which is tripping your breaker.Greg

Thanks Greg I have had a look underneath and there is a leak somewhere, When reconnected to power supply the machine power on light illuminates but I can not get any green lights on the programme buttons. It does not trip the power when turning on now.

Entirely possible that the short circuit has wiped out the PCB. Time for the pros?

Once the earth leakage (which must be at an acceptable level now not to activate the RCD); has gone to an even lower level, then Im confident the programme selection will return.
If you open the door and press the on button, then turn it off, quickly start pressing the P button, does it start selecting then progs then fade out?
If sothats the usual sign for the earth leakage messing up the module and the first paragraph then is probable.Greg

Thanks again Greg, I have tried the method you suggested but I can not get any green lights on at all. I would be happy to try any other remedy.
