Before i throw the dishwasher on the skip! As a last minute reprieve can anyone help. 😥
The On switch works, but no selection lights light up. Usually the green light flashes on the left for a pre selection. i cannot select any programes.
When switching something (hubby does) on the bottom of the machine, he can make the selection button flash. When closing the door this starts the draining cycle then stops. The dishwasher then does nothing.
Have tipped the dishwasher forward and back wards to see if any water comes out as have read this may be the answer on the net. But this doesnt solve the problem.
Now wishing i hadnt bought a fully intergrated dishwasher! replacement price is high.
Please Please, can someone throw some light on this problem or am i really going to have to part with my hubbys birthday money to buy a new one! 😯

Probably the wiring harness in the door needs inspecting and the switch panel for the likely answer 😉

Check out our repairs@ for an engineer in your area to take a look!

Not the world’s greatest I’m afraid E+P. By “switching something on the bottom” is this the switch on the polystyrene float?

If so, it implies that the machine thinks it’s overfilling, or already full. The other possibility is control failure, which probably is not a cost effective repair.

Please cut the power before sticking fingers in the machine – it is downright dangerous.

    Regards,

    Hi Penquin
just run upstairs.. yes he said it is the switch on the float. if the machine thinks its full is there something to convince it that its not?!

Not to worry about the elecy thing, hes well insured!
sorry that was a joke. Thanks for the concern but the elecy goes off and when he switched the thingy! (cant you tell this is a woman asking) he was using a plastic handled elecy thingy!
Gosh thats makes me sound pathetic. But im getting all excited here, will my dishwasher have a reprieve?!

It sounds like the controller is in ‘lock out’ mode.

If an error occurs (eg Flood sensor activated) the controller ‘locks out’ to prevent further operation. Normally you’d need an engineer to repair the fault and reset the controller.

There are instructions to reset the controller here and a few tips on LSI61 dishwasher repair:

I have exactly the same fault. Thanks to sPoNiX’s link I managed to run through the short tests and self tests fine. All switches operate as expected as do all the outputs yet still dead when I do a normal switch on

What was the outcome in the end?
