ParticipantHi, does anyone know why….
My ariston lsi61 reboots/resets itself when the soap dispenser is activated during the wash cycles?
This results (not consistently) in either
a) no green lights
OR
b) green light 1 (ready to start)Any suggestions welcome.
Cheers

PCB may be faulty, the description of the fault is interesting. Indesit/Ariston/Hotpoint dishwashers are prone to leakage around the soap box area. Water can have an interesting effect upon electronic control systems…….. Also, the solenoid coil breaking down could cause some interesting effects.
Bit more analysis required before we can definitely say the PCB is the culprit.
Power off, if you are going to investigate. If you are uncertain how to proceed, click the link below for a UKW engineer in your area.

I have the exact same problem with my LSI 62. When the detergent door opens (same in all programs) the machine stops and no lights are on…no error codes…
I have tried the both the long and short test programs and all works fine. No error codes.
What if I disconnect the detergent door solenoid and run the wash program. Maybe this would tell me if its the solenoid?!?
Is there any detailed descriptions of how the wash cycles are build up.
Step by step whats happening, maybe with time also?!?magwa, did you find a solution on your mashine??

Tested to disconnect the detergent door solenoid and the dishwasher works!!
Is it a faulty solenoid or the electronics driving it??September 12, 2007 at 11:40 pm #194418Penguin45

Solenoid, every time. You’ll need a new dispenser. However, whilst I have worked on LSI62s, I can’t find a part number anywhere………
Drop a line to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and they’ll sort it out for you.

I found that disconnecting the solenoid it worked sometimes.
I finally replaced the pcb(£60) and reconnected the solenoid, first run it failed on operation of the solenoid….back to square one.
I suspect the solenoid was the cause of the pcb fail, if I could get the circuit diagram I may be able to repair, there’s not much on the board.
I’ve run it now in test mode for a while….looking to replace. -
