Ariston LSV66 Door Won’t Open

The catch on my diswasher seems to be broken. Can anyone advise me on how I can get it open without causing damage? The cycle has completed fully. There are units to both sides of the dishwasher and it has been screwed into the worktop and so I can’t pull the dishwasher out of situ!!
The wife best china is stuck in it, and I can’t stand washing up!!! Help!!

To be honest without being able to pull the dw out of situ you have got a big problem, however I would suggest you contact a local repair person try http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … whitegoods

They may or may no be able to open door without causing some damage to the facia/panel on your dw. this would be cheaper that replacing the machine,

Managed to fix it myself – ordered a spare part from http://www.4ourhouse.co.uk @£15.99 inc post and packing. Once I got the part I could see how it worked and then drilled through the handle in the middle. Hay-presto the door opened and then it was a matter of just removing 6 screws to take off the control panel and another 4 screws and 2 wires to remove the part. In all took about 20 minutes!
I recommend the parts supplier – service was spot on!!
