Hi all, I have a couple of faults with my Ariston LV62 integrated dishwasher.

    1. Sometimes when I try to reset the machine before selecting a wash programme it will not reset, therefore not allowing me to start the desired programme. I have to swich the power off at the wall switch for a few seconds, turn on again & all is fine.

2 The wash tablet is not being released, e.g. the flap is not opening – the machine seems to go through cycle 1 (rinse) then go part way through cycle 2, then skip to cycle 4 leaving the contents damp and the tablet still in the dispenser. The dispenser flap seems free to operate and the flap isn’t obstructed in any way. This doesn’t happen all the time, but it’s getting to be near 50/50 now!

Are these 2 problems related? Is a repair viable or is it time to fork out for a new one?

I did fit a new solenoid/dispenser unit which was supplied by yourselves in Nov 2006.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks………….Shaun.

Earth leakage on heater can cause some decidedly odd problems. You’ll need a proper megger to check though.

Dispenser is operated by a solenoid release coil. These do fail, test meter to do a resistance test required. You should get a reading in kOhms when split from the circuit.

    Stay safe, power off first.
