I probabaly know the answer to this and have a bad feeling about it, but here goes…
When the drum spins theres a clunking/scraping noise with every rotation. Theres no actual resistance to the drum (that is when I spin it by hand theres no excessive resistance). No error codes occur, the machine fills with water and spins, but the cycle will not advance.
I’ve checked the outlet hole at the front of the base just to rule that out and its clear. I also took off the back panel just for a quick peek (unplugged of course!). However, I’m a total novice at this, but nothing seemed unusual.
What I would say is the noise/scraping seems to be coming from contact between the inner and outer drum. With the back panel off, the main spindle seems to be rotating fine and the noise isnt coming from those bearing.
Any ideas or is it engineer time?
