Ariston Margerita AWD12 8 flashes

Hello, I have plowed through all the previous Ariston posts, but I am stuggling to find my problem!

I have an error: I fill up with water, slosh around for a minute (start of program) then I drain all my water out whilst flashing 12 times, and continue to chug/click around for 8 flashes, followed by 8 flashes, followed by 8 flashes.

My guess is 8 flashes is my real problem here!

What is 8 flashes?

I have done the filter cleaning routine, result was one hairgrip. Tried a reset and no joy.

I have cleaned out the soap drawer and messed with the drain hose, seems to be draining fine by the way.

I had an engineer out last autumn when the tumble dryer went cold, he fixed it no problem (to the extent that it took 10 minutes flat and I really wished I had done it myself!!!). If someone could point me in the right direction I can decide if it is worth repairing!

Its a water level protection error that relates to the heater control. Which means either/or the water level switch is faulty OR the main Control Module has gone belly up 🙁

Either way you’re in for an expense to get it sorted in all honesty. 😥

I would take the easier option at this stage and check out the water level system. Sadly we in the trade cannot be more specific, can only advise, it’s to safeguard the likelyhood of liability and all that…sorry!

Oh the trials of an age where everyone wants to sue each other!!! Well thank you for your assistance, at least I know where to start looking now!!!
