    Hi
I’ve been having a few problems with my ageing Ariston Margharita – I’ve been having to clear out the filter/pump at the bottom right front of the machine, from bits of clothing.

But subsequent to that, it has started to first click round (despite not being blocked), and now it is having a power failure, and tripping the house RCD, a few seconds after being switched on (just before the water pumps and drum spins).

Its about 8 years old, and has had various repairs and replacements over the last 3 or so years – is it basically at the end of its working life, or is there a way round this?

    many thanks

    Gavin

It needs all components testing with a suitable meggar or multimeter for insulation faults.

thanks, for someone of my knowledge, given the age and now repeated issues with the machine – that sounds like ‘throw away’ unfortunately. Don’t want to fork out again for someone to look at it.
